sample making for penguin and fish


This past month, I stitched up a few samples for Alyssa, the fabric and embroidery pattern designer behind Penguin and Fish.


Alyssa sent me five animals to embroider: a giraffe, an elephant, a lion, an owl, and a hedgehog. I was able to stitch up each of the patterns in one sitting, and I loved the results!

happy new year!

Thank you to everyone, followers new and old, for your support in 2012. This past year was a productive one, and I'm looking forward to 2013, which will include teaching classes, printing fabric with this awesome lady, and sewing for new twin nephews. Happy New Year to you all!

settling in

Thanks to my mom's help on a recent visit, things are actually now hanging on the walls in our house.
Photo and prints all in black frames.
