A few months ago, I came across an excellent booklet of cross-stitch alphabets at
Half Price Books, and it inspired me to try out cross-stitch again (something I did back in middle/high school). Two weeks ago, I finally got around to buying some cross-stitch fabric from a local thrift store for $1, and started experimenting.
First up, something for our house. I chose one of the designs from the book, selected two colors from my decade-old stash of embroidery floss, and stitched up a saying my husband and I like to exchange: tru luv 4 eva.
I framed it in an old wood frame I had lying around, which I painted black.
